That’s Happy New Year, Chinese-style.  Its the year of the Dragon–the only mythical animal in the Chinese Zodiac, so if you read into such things, The Dragon marks progression, perseverance and auspiciousness. But while my fellow Asians are feasting on dumplings, fish and pig, I kind of mixed up my traditions and made black-eyed peas.
